Our Team

I started my painting apprenticeship at 16.

By 21, I'd started my own business, Generations Painting, and ran it for the next 10 years.

That business grew and eventually formed into Market

Ready alongside Saunders Built.

‍

The idea for Market Ready came from seeing a real gap in the market when it came to preparing homes for sale.

Agents and homeowners were having to organise multiple trades themselves, meet everyone on site, compare quotes, manage the whole process.

‍

We saw an opportunity to simplify that. Bring everything under one roof, manage the job from start to finish, and help properties present at their best for sale.

At the end of the day, it's about helping people get more out of their biggest asset.

‍

Before business, I raced professional motocross around Australia. It taught me a lot about discipline and consistency. I've played guitar in a few bands over the years too.

These days I enjoy health and fitness, and love hanging out with my wife and kids.

For me, working with reliable, quality trades is everything, and Dylan from Generations Painting has always been one of the best examples of that.

After a couple of years of brainstorming, we combined our networks, resources and passion to launch Market Ready.

‍

Outside of building, my real passion is riding and racing mountain bikes.

It's what first took me overseas, where I spent five years building and riding across New Zealand and Canada before coming home to Tassie for good.

My background is in carpentry, working across residential building, repairs, and renovation.

That hands-on experience gave me a strong

understanding of construction methods, materials, and how to coordinate a project from start to finish.

‍

I also worked in real estate sales, which gave me a different perspective.

Understanding the sales process and what buyers are looking for changed the way I approach preparing a home for market.

‍

I was drawn to Market Ready because it brings both of those worlds together.

Preparing properties for sale in a streamlined way, being involved from initial consultation through to completion, and helping clients get the most out of their property's presentation and value.

‍

Outside of work, I've played my whole life at Lauderdale Football Club.

I enjoy staying active and value a balanced lifestyle.

I was drawn to Market Ready because of my passion carpentry, building, and renovation work. I love the process of taking older homes with character and watching them come together from start to finish, helping clients get the most out of their property.
